Family Support Services & Supervised Visitation
Family Support Services
Family Support Services addresses the goals that are developed to strengthen the needs of families by teaching parents the skills necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of their children. CMS Support Workers (FSW) provide a variety of services such as educational, parenting skills, anger management, and social and economic development, along with implementing other strategies to encourage family success.
Supervised Visitation
Our primary focus during supervised visitation is to protect the best interest of the children whose parents have a custody or visitation matter as a result of a family court order or DHHS involvement. A family-friendly visitation room is available at our office in South Sioux City NE if visits are unable to occur in the community or family home. Our FSW provides full supervision and observation of parenting interactions with their assigned families. They will work with the family to help implement successful parenting strategies and behavior modifications as needed. Documentation of parenting strength and barriers are chronicled and reported to referring case manager.
